- Genevieve wraps up her series on planting to attract birds with a great post on plants that work well in a container garden that birds love.
- Vanessa scoured the internet for good instructions for building your own wooden container. I think I might incorporate one of the wooden containers she found into an asian inspired container design for my eBook (coming out in time for Earth Day/my Dad’s birthday, April 22!).
- Gardening in Small Spaces talks about the importance of understanding full-sun, part-shade, and full-shade for container gardeners.

Aw, thanks so much for the link-love, Fern! And thanks for the other awesome resources.
I’m so construction-challenged that I really appreciate how step-by-step the container-building link is.
And I always love it when people are clear about the basics of gardening. It sharpens me up so I find it easier to explain things to people. After gardening for years, it’s easy to take information for granted and forget the simple things that are hard to learn at first. So I liked that link about light, too.
Definitely can’t wait for your container planting e-book!
Gen–My pleasure.
I’m with ya on the construction challenged bit. I needed to install kiddie locks on my cabinet doors so my cats wouldn’t let themselves into my linen closet. I installed them incorrectly THREE times before I figured it out! We’re talking about something that only involved two pieces!!
Hi Fern!

I look forward to continuing to read your great posts and explore the abundance of resources that you offer.
Take care,
Tennille
