Hi container gardening friends! I wanted to alert you to a contest my publisher is having to give away a free copy of my book, a special pallet garden collection of seeds, and a Woolly Pocket. The winner will be armed with the supplies needed to take on several projects described in my book! Click right here to find out how to enter.
Timber Press is also publishing a few sneak peaks inside the book, to give you a taste of what’s in store for readers:

Be sure to follow the Timber Press blog, because I think there is at least one more post coming, with ideas about fitting more plants into a small garden.

I look forward to getting your book. I do a lot of container gardening. Winning all of this would be really fun!!!! Thanks!
Good luck Carol!
Hi Fern! Congrats on your book.! I have moved from Michigan to South Carolina 4 months ago and now live in a small apartment until I find a home. Your book Small Space Container Gardens would be very helpful. It is just what I need because I have very limited space.
Thank you I would be thrilled to receive one!
Hi, Fern — I now have two copies! Timber graciously sent me an extra, I guess because I wrote the foreword…which, did you notice (of course you did) is quoted on the back cover? That’s a first for me. Not to mention an honor.
I’m as pleased as a proud grandparent that the book is doing so well.
It would be nice to see your book in Kindle format.
Since I rent in Arizona everything I grow is in pots. Though I am hoping the rent part changes as I am looking for a house with a large yard. I will still grow out of pots as it helps to migrate plants depending on the season.
Hi Ben! I would love to see my book in Kindle format too, though I understand that with a book like mine with 150 color photographs, several color diagrams, and a distinct graphic “style,” it would be expensive for my publisher to convert it to digital format. So I don’t have high hopes of seeing it on Kindles/iPads/Nooks any time soon.
Hello Fern,
I am sure it will pay in the long run once you have converted. I have a bit of experience between getting blogs and books in kindle format. One of the great things about Amazon is they expose your books to people who bought similar things.. I have the Succulent Container Gardens book you have advertised in Kindle format it turned out rather well on both the Kindle 2, Kindle Touch, and Kindle Fire.
Has the winner for this give away announced?
Interesting. Succulent Container Gardens is published by my publisher (Timber Press). Are the photos in color on the Kindle Fire?
