Kaci -- My pleasure. It is so nice to share info about a company that I really like. Let me know what you end up getting!

Fern, you are a total gem. I visited the Botanical Interests website and now I can't WAIT to give them my money (how weird is that?!) and get some of their seeds growin'! I love how the website is organized with several different ways of classifying seeds, so you can really find what you're looking for... Awesome!

Jeannie -- That class sounds awesome! I'll have to keep my eyes open for something similar down south near me.

If you end up getting some of their seeds, shoot me an email, I'd love to compare notes.

...and I'm returning to say they have a gem of a website. Thanks for highlighting this company. Jeannie
(I was also impressed with their fundraising program...made me want to get a non-profit going...I do have another blog, www.gardensprouts.blogspot.com, to encourage kids getting into the garden, outside, mucking around. At some point, I'd love to have influence in this area!)

o.k. I'm convinced...I'll head over there! I do love seeds...my most recent project is saving them in tiny baby food jars (for my cat who needed the babying). I took a great seeds class a few years ago at Sierra College in Rocklin, California. We went to the Empire Mines park in Grass Valley, which was a bit like a cathedral with it's tall tree canopy. We each had an assigned seed which we collected and prepared for dormancy with a report on that seeds requirements...it was heaven!!!!!

Gen -- To be honest, if I could afford to buy only larger plants, and I could find all the plants I dream of in local nurseries, I would never buy seeds. But as it stands, I have neither tons of money nor a nursery that carries even a fraction of the plants available for sale as seeds.

You know, I'm a newcomer to the joys of seeds. This is my first year actually seeding anything, now that I have my own home.

In landscaping we usually start with 1-gallon or larger plants whenever possible to make sure we don't have to replace anything - but - the pretty seed packets and the optimism involved in going through the process sound delightful.

Thanks for the inspiration and the seed recommendation.

TC -- What can I say? I'm a passionate person! ;-) I like Renee's Garden seeds as well. I've listed both as well as Territorial Seeds and Seeds of Change in the resources section.
