Post image for Photos From The Huntington Botanical Garden

I went with my Master Gardener class to study botany in the lab at the Huntington Botanical Garden. I looked at all sorts of neat things under a microscope, but afterwards I was able to walk around the gardens and I saw lots of beautiful container plants. I’ve posted the photos of them below. If you’d like to see the other photos I took at the botanical garden, I’ve posted them on Flickr.

Great photos! I went botanic gardening this weekend too. In my climate, it is the only way to survive the winter!

Thanks for sharing! Beautiful pictures! You’re lucky – we don’t have any field trips scheduled yet.

Joseph–Even here, I largely take a break during the winter, so it’s nice to go look at beautiful landscapes without having to do any work.

Angela–The MG program in my county seems to be pretty big on field trips. I know we have another one scheduled to learn about grafting at a local college.

I’m jealous. My MG classes don’t even start until feb 5. The photos are beautiful!

I LOVE the Huntington! Went and saw (smelled) the corpse flower a while back when it was in bloom.

Gorgeous pics! How are you liking the master gardener class? I’ve been thinking about it.
