Sure sounds like you’re sold on their products, Fern. That’s great! It’s good to know there are still small businesses that stand behind their products, and people who believe in them. I’m seeded out for this year, but will definitely check Botanical Interests out when the Fall buying season comes along. Thanks for the heads-up.

Robert–Have you considered the possibility that the lack of germination is a result of something you’re doing, or that you sowed seeds that were past their viability date? I’ve had the complete opposite experience with Botanical Interests seeds that you’ve had. I get near 100% germination with their seeds. Moreover, seed companies have to submit samples of their seed to test labs and meet certain germination standards, among other things. So it seems rather odd that you haven’t had a single seed germinate after trying two different seed packets.

Botanical Interests’ seed suck. I bought a packet of green shiso two years ago, and got zero germination. Bought a packet of red shiso earlier this year, and got zero germination.

Denny — I didn’t realize that you are a musician. My husband has been playing bass for forever and is learning to play guitar. He sells vintage electric guitars and basses on the side. Like you, he hates the “big” music stores. He is very loyal to an independent shop near our apartment.

Well, I finally got time to “surf over” to Botanical Interests website, I really like their theme. As a past owner of a brick and mortar musical instrument store which was forced out of business by a “super store” selling junk I have a strong dislike dealing with big box stores. Botanical Interests will get my seed business from now on! Thanks, Miss Fern for turning me on to them!

I love lavender! I love it so much I bathe with lavender scented soap. This may not seem so out of the ordinary, unless you’re a male.
