Lots of Seeds Sprouting in My Garden

I live in a beach community in Southern California where the temperature is pretty much between 60-80 and sunny all year round. It’s kind of boring sometimes, but I digress. Because of the mild weather in my garden, a guy at my local nursery told me that I can grow many vegetables and plants longer in the season (all the way into December) than most other locations. Sounds good to me, so I sowed some tomatoes and other vegetables, and now I have seedlings galore:

Radishes (‘Cherry Bell’)

Tomatoes (I can’t remember if these are ‘Roma’ or ‘Sweet 100′)

Basil (‘Sweet’) a cutting from my neighbor’s plant that I have been taking care of while she is gone for the summer

Not pictured here are Ruby Chard and Dwarf Cherry Rose Nasturtium, which are too small to photograph at the moment. I’m still waiting on some mint and more tomato seeds to germinate.

Sorry, I didn’t want to brag, but at the same time, I didn’t want to look like an idiot for sowing tomato seeds in August! ;-)
