The whole village center was dotted with containers like this. It was really charming. (which is a funny thing to say about an area with multi-million dollar homes)
I thought so. Especially since their propeller plant was in bloom and Debra Lee Baldwin was just talking about that plant during last week’s Fleur Chat.

Ooohh, I think I might have a propeller plant!! I didn’t know what it was but I’ve had it for years and it is covered right now with those red flowers. Always blooms in Aug. : )
I just love succulents! You hardly ever have to transplant them.
I belong to an organization called Las Candalistas. L.C. is a philanthropic organization dedicated to benefiting children and/or the environment in the South Bay of Los Angeles. We will be having a one day fundraising event called “A Day in the Garden” on May 18, 2012 at The South Coast Botanic Gardens. I just found your website and loved the whole idea of small space container gardening. I was wondering if you’d be interested in being a vendor at our event. I don’t know where you’re located but would really appreciate hearing from you. If you’re not available, perhaps you could lead me to some other vendors re: gardening ideas. Thanks, Kai
In Small-Space Container Gardens, Fern Richardson walks you through the process of beautifying a small space–even when you have a similarly small budget. Learn how to attract wildlife, grow vertically, harvest your own food, and so much more!

Succulents are probably hands down the overall best plant to grow in a container, especially in hot arid areas.
Man oh man I love it! That pot has a lot going on. Succulents are so amazing!
