I had to LOL at your term &quot;happy atheist.&quot; So often atheists seem angry, but that&#039;s probably because most happy atheists are flying under the radar, so to speak. Angry people always seem to get more press than happy people. Anyway, as a happy Jew, I too enjoy all the pretty decorating and the good mood that everyone seems to be in this time of year.</description>

		<description>Pretty! I did something similar when I lived in an apartment - I used a green garland to make a tree shape on the wall! It was goofy, but fun. I hung mini ornaments on it, and strung lights around the ceiling molding.

I&#039;m a happy atheist, but I love Christmas! I think of it as a time to celebrate family, show love and generosity by making and giving gifts, and just generally take a step back from the pressures of real life and be silly and relax with the people I love. Yay for Christmas!</description>
