Here are some of the posts I really enjoyed reading recently:
- Drink Your Beets: Check out Adriana’s funky video for a great way to fit some healthy goodness into your breakfast. As an added bonus, it comes with punk music!
- Hand Pruner Showdown: Genevieve has a readable yet informative post on pruners and which one she thinks is best. And it’s not Felco’s!
- Weeders Digest – Cans: Design*Sponge covers a cute idea for a flower vase that I think could easily be tweaked to use as a pot.
- Echevria ‘Topsy Turvy: Julie posted a beautiful photo of one of my favorite succulent. I just wish I didn’t routinely kill echeveria. Maybe Julie will be kind enough to share her secret (HINT! HINT!)
- Following Miracle Grow on Twitter: Stuart started a provocative conversation about what it means to follow a controversial company on Twitter.
- The $25 Victory Garden Challenge: Vanessa posts about an idea that originated on Twitter. How frugal can you be?!

Thanks so much for the mention, Miss Fern!
I loved reading Stuart’s post about what it means to follow Miracle Gro. I really agree, though I hadn’t thought of it that way before. It really does lend a stamp of approval to their company. Much better to simply go to their twitter page now and again to keep up with what they are doing, if you are so inclined (keep one’s friends close and enemies closer, right?).
Gen — I’m not sure I agree that following someone on Twitter is seen as a stamp of approval. It is almost impossible to keep track of what someone/a company is saying on Twitter if you don’t follow them.
Woot… Thanks for the shout out!
