If you’re looking for a quick-reference card you can take with you out on your balcony or patio with all the information you need when you’re in the thick of gardening, then The Good Growing Guide is just what you need. Isabel of Fennel and Fern has created beautifully photographed postcards with easy-to-reference information about growing fruits and vegetables.

Isabel has created 27 postcard-sized cards. Each has a beautiful photograph of a fruit or vegetable. The information on the card includes when and how to sow the seeds, what type of soil and amendments to use, growing and harvesting tips, and a heads up about potential pest problems.

The best part about these cards, though, is that you can download them for free! Once you see how useful they are, I’m sure you’ll want to purchase a nicely printed version.

Beautiful AND useful…always a great combination! This would make a great present tucked in a little gift bag with some of the seeds to match and a really good pair of garden gloves, which is exactly what I intend to do for a friend of mine who has been talking of starting a food garden this spring. :-)
