In order to bring in the good things that I hope 2010 has to come, I thought I would get started on the last day of 2009 with something special for Life on the Balcony readers. I really appreciate the comments, support, and suggestions, and wanted to give you all something to say “Thanks!”
I’ve made a set of computer desktop wallpapers with photos and graphics depicting some sort of container gardening theme. Each wallpaper has a calendar for a different month in 2010, so they’re useful in addition to pretty.
- Download Life on the Balcony Desktop Wallpapers
- UPDATE: If you downloaded the wallpaper set before January 1, 2010 at 11:45pm, there was a typo on the January wallpaper. You can download the corrected January wallpaper here. The link above for the entire set includes to corrected January file.
I’d love to see screen captures of your computer desktop if you’re using one of the wallpapers. You can submit them to the Life on the Balcony Flickr group or email them to me. I hope you enjoy using the wallpapers as much as I enjoyed making them.
And HELLO 2010, you couldn’t come fast enough!!!

Thank you, Fern. This is a lovely gift. I’ve already downloaded the file & look forward to using the wallpaper during the next 12 months. I need every tool to help me stay on track and on time in 2010 & especially one that brightens my desktop.
Happy New Year.
Thank you, Fern. What a great way to prepare for the new year.
Thanks Fern for all your work. I’m sure I will find them decorative as well as useful, off to download them.

Kaikit–Ack! That’s what I get for working on these late at night. I’ll fix that and post an update. Thanks for catching the typo!
