As Friday drew near, I was just too busy to sort through the photos I’ve taken of my garden recently and select a few for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day, the 15th of every month. So, here is what is blooming in my garden, one day late.
Fuchsia ‘Angel Earings Snowfire’

Million Bells ‘Terra Cotta’

Dahlia ‘Happy Single First Love’

Also blooming:
- Dill and Cilantro that I am allowing to go to seed
- Adromischus cristatus (Crinkle Leaf Plant)
- Lantana ‘Luscious Tropical Fruit’
- Both the peach and the yellow cannas
- Nasturtium ‘Tip Top Mix’

I love Fuschia, they are gorgeous! I’m interested to know how you plant the million bells? What kind of pot do you use?
Louise–They are in a tall cylindrical pot with a peach tree, Japanese Sedge, Dahlias and Nasturtiums. You can see them in this photo. The pot they are in is in the back towards the right. I’ve also seen them in hanging containers and they look awesome that way! Around Independence Day, I saw a hanging basket with red Million Bells and blue and white flowers (I can’t quite remember what they were). It looked gorgeous!
Fern, I adore just totally adore black leafed dahlias. Would that happen to be one? Can’t really tell in the photo.
Your flowers are looking wonderful. We have had intense heat for days. There seems to be nothing left but fried blooms.
Jen
Your fuschia is such a gorgeous color. I’m just begining to learn about all the different types of fuschia. Thank you for giving its name.
Jen–Yep! Happy Single First Love. I love them too! Unfortunately, so do the Cabbage Butterfly caterpillars.
Curmudgeon–Thanks! There are tons of varieties of Fuchsia. The one I have is really easy to grow, it tolerates heat and sun a lot more than most Fuchsia.
Fern, Thanks for joining in for bloom day. That Fuchsia is quite striking. I like the name of it, too.
Thanks for stopping by Carol. I enjoyed cataloging what is blooming at the moment, and I especially enjoy seeing everyone else’s gardens.
