Whoa! I’ve heard about that interesting technique before, but never seen it in action. I got really mad at a pocket gopher and sprayed the hole with so much water he ended up crawling out. I caught and relocated him to the Polo Fields in GG Park. I took pics:

Megan–The person teaching the class said the flooding method can sometimes be effective if you’re sure the gopher is in the tunnel you’re flooding, but that it can waste a lot of water and is not recommended since CA is in a serious drought. Especially if the homeowner has to flood several tunnel systems to find the one the gopher is in.
Yeah… it was more an act of anger. I didn’t really think anything would happen. He’d been digging up my yard and making the dogs crazy for a couple months. We now have a solar powered thing that beeps every 30 seconds. I thought it was a sham, but the gophers left.
hmmmm, ewwwwww. but that looks quite efficiant. they need to come up with the likes for my mothers moles. lol
