Last week I reviewed a great product called Ups-A-Daisy that I recently discovered (or rather, Mr. Brown Thumb introduced me to one of the owners of the company). The Ups-A-Daisy inserts were so easy to use, and provided such instant benefits (less soil used and lighter pots) that I am super excited to be able to give away FIVE inserts so that you all can try them out too!

Here’s how the contest is going to work. Some time during next two weeks (until July 13, 2009) tell me how you would use an insert if you won, or why you’re particularly deserving of winning. You can do this by posting it somewhere online. Your blog, a photo essay on Flickr, a 140 character haiku on Twitter, etc. Be creative! Check out the Ups-A-Daisy website for more info about how you can use the inserts. The only requirement is that you cannot post it here on my blog. The point is to spread the word about a product I really like, so talking about it here would be preaching to the choir. Be sure to email me with a link or leave a comment with a link so that I know about your entry.
I have every size of insert between 10 inches and 18 inches except the 12 inch diameter insert. Be sure to tell me which size you would like to try so that I can be sure to pick five people who want five different sizes.
I’ll announce the winners on July 14th. Each winner will get the insert size they requested, mailed to them free of charge.
**To keep my shipping costs reasonable, this contest is only available to people with mailing addresses in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico**

Hope my take isn’t too cynical – I have seen these before and really would love to try one! I’d love the 18″ so I can either experiment with self-watering or use it in the traditional way.
Here’s my buzz!

Jennifer–Cynics are always welcome here! LOL. You’ll either like it or not, but I appreciate being able to try things out for free, and I figured other people would too. I don’t get paid by Ups-A-Daisy, so the only thing I have personally invested is that I think the product is spiffy.
I actually twittered this – I’m growing a second agave (foxtail). My current blue glow agave is in a tall container and I put packing peanuts in the bottom.

Whoops, meant to include that while I don’t have a new tall container just yet, I could make the 10 or 11″ work, I’m sure. This seems like a great solution, actually.
Kimberly–Definitely sounds like a prime scenario for an insert. Then you could compare the two containers.
