There were a lot of great photos submitted to win a bar of Botanical Interests wonderful-smelling new soap, but only one person could win. I used Random.org to select a number, and it corresponded with Erin Neu’s photo. Erin, I will be sending you an email shortly to find out where the send your bar of soap and seed packets. Congrats!

Congrats to the winner of the soap! Nice photos too!
Fern, what a fun round up of posts! I’m bummed I didn’t win that soap, so I guess I’m gonna have to toddle on over to the BT website and check them out myself LOL.
Thanks for including my vermicomposting post! I’ve been having far too much fun with my new pets. They don’t poop on my patio like the chickens do, so I am calling them an unvarnished success so far!
Thanks for the garden shout out Fern! Have a great weekend
Many great links here! Enjoy your weekend.
I’m sure upside-down tomatoes will be remembered as a turn-of-the-century gardening gimmick. There’s no good reason to do it if you have space. But with limited space, it’s a decent way to cram in an extra tomato or two that there is absolutely no room for any other way.
And frankly, that writer is reviewing a concept without having tried it; never a very nice practice.[Deleted by Fern]For me, it really is a fun enough idea that even if it saves just a little bit of work (or trades the work of staking for the work of hanging), plus makes an interesting conversation piece, the hanging planter has paid for itself for yet another year.
Off to check out the rest of the links.
Jennifer–I don’t know why you think Kerry hasn’t tried upside down containers. It’s not cool to call someone’s integrity into question without any justification. Besides, it’s not like she’s the only person that doesn’t think they’re that great.
You’re right… she does have other posts where she’s actually trying it out herself. Fair enough; dumb big mouth, I guess, and I spoke too soon.
My point was – yes, they’re kitschy, and they don’t save much time or trouble, but I like mine.
Better?
