I always order some of my seeds from Botanical Interests. They have a good selection and the shipping charges are reasonable.

Hi, I really like the new layout of your website. It's so bright and clean. I think this is a great gift for a sibling of mine and her son who I gave the gardening bug to last Christmas. Happy Holidays!

Jane--Regarding rootballs of nursery plants, I don't subscribe to the line of thinking that requires people to loosen the rootball before planting. There have been a couple of studies that have found no difference in plants that had their roots loosed before planting and those that don't. And the risk of damaging the roots seems to me to be more likely than any negligible harm done to the plant by not loosening their roots before planting. The only time I think it is worthwhile is when you are planting a tree or other plant with a large root that has circled the nursery pot. In that case, I think it is worthwhile to disentangle the roots to prevent the large root from choking the rest of the plant.

Great gift idea, to give nicely packaged seeds to gardeners!

Constructive suggestion apropos of the video review of the P.Allen Smith card deck: inexperienced gardeners watching the demo might not realize that when transferring plants out of nursery containers, rootballs should always be checked, and in most cases, need to be gently loosened at the bottom so roots can more easily spread down into the new container's soil. (Realize that the video was designed just as a product review, but it's an important step to ensure the success of the new arrangement!)

Congratulations on your blog - it's very nicely done.
