Community Garden

I alluded last week to the fact that I have killed some plants. I got super busy with Passover planning, book editing, and a job interview, and well, my plants were kind of neglected. I hate to say it, but several of the seedlings I killed were the ones I was growing for the Community Container Garden project. I’ll be a little behind many of you with our joint project.

I know from reading through the LOTB Community Forums that there are some folks who have had some mishaps already too. At least Lady Rooster’s plants were knocked around from the wind and not owner neglect, like mine were!

Are you participating in the community container garden? I sure hope so! But even if you’re not, it’s still important to know what sized pot goes with what kind of edible plants. Tomatoes will not be happy living in a 10 inch pot for the entire summer. Nope. No way! But chives? They’re much more tolerant of tighter living quarters.
